Fullstop Wet Area Waterproofing has developed a waterproofing system designed to meet all criteria of the Australian standard for waterproofing of internal residential areas, together with built in safeguards to ensure a long life application, elimination of applicator and 'as built' errors.
The membrane - Our unique 2ST ( self stick and tile ) is the only sheet membrane able to be tiled over directly.
The membrane has a woven nylon upper face which apart from giving unparalleled strength also provides a textured finish for superior adhesion of the tile adhesive.
Others try to improve adhesion with sprinkled or embedded sand which impedes the flexibility of the membrane.
Being of a manufactured thickness, uniformity is assured and the variations of a hand applied product are eliminated.
2ST comprises of a rubberized bitumen base with a woven overlay of nylon, giving unmatched strength and the ability to accommodate structural movement of the substrate without allowing that movement to affect the finished tile surface ( the perfect slip joint ).
Follow on trades - 2ST is prefinished and therefore the need to avoid the area during cure time is negated. This allows other trades into the area to complete tasks and cause minimal delays to construction schedules.
The result - A watertight membrane applied over timber or cement, of uniform thickness with tight neat corners allowing tiles to be laid without jutting out to accommodate lumps or excessive membrane build up. Applied in a single application, the 2ST / elastoproof reduces costs and provides an economical waterproofing system.
